Ganna second, Thomas loses two minutes

Tadej Pogacar won the seventh stage of the Giro d'Italia, a 40.6 km individual time trial starting from Foligno and finishing in Perugia.

The UAE Emirates rider dominated the race, recovering in the last uphill stretch. Pogacar finished with a time of 51'44" at an average speed of 47.088 km/h.

On the podium of the day Filippo Ganna, at 17 seconds, and Magnus Sheffield at 49 seconds. Geraint Thomas did badly and finished at 2'00", Daniel Martinez did well at 1'49" and Antonio Tiberi lost only 1'21" to Pogacar.

Pogacar consolidates the pink jersey. Tomorrow I arrive uphill in Prati di Tivo.
