Remember to line up your formation before the start

Canadian trip for the riders involved, between Friday 8 and Sunday 10 September, in the GP of Québec and in Montreal. While we will talk about this second race in a future news, let's start to discover the route and favorites of the first category 3 World Tour race.

They will cover 201.6 kilometers starting and finishing in Québec City and almost 3,000 meters in altitude. There will be a 12.6 km circuit (to be repeated 16 times), with short stretches such as the Montéè du Fort (1 km at 4%) on whose summit the finish line is placed. The start will be given at 17 Italian time.

Let's start with last year's winner, Benoit Cosnefroy , who is expected to redeem himself after a rather anonymous season. But there are other contenders for the final success: this is the case of Arnaud De Lie and Maxim Van Gils of Lotto Dstny, Matej Mohoric and Pello Bilbao of Bahrain Victorious, Christophe Laporte and Tiesj Benoot of Jumbo Visma, Magnus Cort and Neilson Powless of Ef EasyPost Education, Valentin Madouas , recent Bretagne Classic winner, Groupama Fdj, Michal Kwiatkowski and Ethan Hayter from Ineos Grenadiers, Alex Aranburu from Movistar, Michael Matthews from Team Jayco AlUla, Marc Hirschi and Tim Wellens from Uae Emirates, and Mattias Skjelmose , ruler of the Maryland Classic race on Sunday. We expect good signals from Diego Ulissi of the Uae and Alberto Bettiol of the EF.

Not to be underestimated Simon and Adam Yates , respectively from Jayco and Uae, even if the most suitable route for them is Sunday's in Montreal.

For the record, we also mention Julian Alaphilippe of Soudal Quick Step, even if the Frenchman comes from a series of results that are too negative to be bought at Fantacycling. Will he be able to reverse the trend?
