Vine goes up, Thomas and Hindley go down

First race of the year and first tops and flops of the season assigned by Fantacycling.

The Tour Down Under highlighted the good form of Jay Vine (+4), winner of the race who is a candidate for a leading role for the 2023 season.

Magnus Sheffield (+3) also did well, the best at Ineos and fourth overall. Simon Yates (+2) brought home a second place finish and a stage victory, appearing in good physical condition. The surprise was Antonio Tiberi (+2), eighth in the standings and probably ready to make the leap in quality. The Italian was preceded by the Norwegian Sven Erik Bystrom (+2), under 23 world champion in 2014 and author of a good race. The top players are completed by Mauro Schmid, Pello Bilbao, Alberto Bettiol, Bryan Coquard, Hugo Page and the very young Frenchman Paul Penhoet , all with a +1 rating.

Among the flops Ethan Hayter (-2) cannot be missing, the favorite of the eve who didn't shine even in his specialty, the time trial. Important runners like Geraint Thomas and Jay Hindley (-2) keep him company. Both did not arrive in Australia with great ambitions due to a delay in condition (even the Welshman had recovered from an infection), but something more was expected of them.

Finally, at -1, we find Maximilian Schachmann, Kaden Groves, Hugo Hofstetter, Michael Storer, Mattia Cattaneo, Taco Van der Hoorn and two riders who ended up on the ground disappointing numerous fantasy managers: Jordi Meeus and Gerben Thijssen .
