Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe has issued a final suspension for Oier Lazkano. The Spanish rider was provisionally suspended by the UCI yesterday for anomalies in his biological passport, for a period covering the 2022, 2023, and 2024 seasons. Lazkano, 25, had not raced since last April, after performing far below expectations in his first races with the German World Tour team. He has also become one of the disappointments of the Fantacycling team for 2025.

" We can confirm that Oier Lazkano will no longer be a member of our team ," Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe said in a statement. "This follows the UCI's decision to temporarily suspend him. However, we emphasize that the International Cycling Union's investigation concerns the 2022, 2023, and 2024 seasons, which is a period prior to when he joined our team."

In fact, during the period examined by the UCI, Lazkano was a rider for Movistar , another WorldTour team, which he then left at the beginning of 2025 to join Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe.
