Matteo Villa reached the semifinals of the Myshoosh event for the 2026 Team Fantacycling selections.

The race was run on a 32.4 km course with a rolling course. The final ranking was determined not only by the finishing order, which still awarded significant points, but also by two intermediate sprints and two KOM finishes.

The race, being short, was run at a very high pace right from the start, with the group already reduced to about ten members after the first GPM.

The real selection took place on the second climb, with seven riders remaining in the lead. On the final two short but very tough final climbs, Villa and Mattei remained in the lead, with Cossi attempting to rejoin the final flat section, but without success.

The two-man sprint rewarded Villa , who proved not only very strong on the climbs but also very fast in the sprint, finishing ahead of Mattei. Third place went to Cossi, who nevertheless managed to secure second place overall thanks to some strong intermediate placings.
