Mattia Cattaneo wins the Katowice time trial, sixth stage of the Tour of Poland, completing the 16.6 km scheduled in 19'41” at an average speed of 51.96 km/h.

Behind the blue rider are Joao Almeida and Geraint Thomas , separated by 13 and 14 seconds respectively.

Almeida gains 12” on Mohoric (eleventh at the finish line), exactly the time that separated the two in the general standings. The Slovenian keeps the yellow jersey for a few hundredths of an advantage.

The landlord Kwiatkowski , thanks to an excellent performance, secures the third place in the general standings ahead of Van Wilder , while Cattaneo climbs up 13 positions and hoists himself to fifth place.

Tomorrow the last stage with arrival in Krakow which, on paper, should have been a catwalk for sprinters. We'll see if Almeida and Mohoric will battle it out for the conquest of the general classification.
