Male Vingegaard (fallen) and Skjelmose; Jorgenson back in yellow jersey

Lenny Martinez (Bahrain-Victorius) wins the fifth stage of Paris-Nice, from Saint-Just-en-Chevalet to La Côte-Saint-André (203.3 km).

Gruel and Swift try to escape and are later joined by Foss . On the first walls in the final, the Norwegian attacks and remains alone in the lead

Foss is caught 4 km from the finish line by the group reduced to about fifty riders. On the Cote de Notre Dame, Jorgenson sets the pace for the entire climb , sending almost all the other men in the general classification into crisis, including Vingegaard and Skjelmose, but with 200 meters to go Lenny Martinez takes off and wins easily, ahead of Champoussin and Jorgenson.

In the general classification Jorgenson takes back the yellow jersey, once again overtaking his teammate Vingegaard.
