Tim Merlier won the first stage of the Renewi Tour, from Terneuzen to Breskens (Sluis) of 182.6 km.

The day's breakaway resumed, with some of the protagonists such as Kasper Asgreen, Paul Magnier, Tibor Del Grosso, Jasper Stuyven and Rui Oliveira, and the bunch sprint arrived as expected.

At the finish line, Merlier took the win, taking the overall lead. Arnaud De Lie and Juan Sebastian Molano followed.
