Jasper Philipsen won the 173.9km second stage of the Renewi Tour, from Blankeberge to Ardooie.
A completely flat stage with a predictable sprint finish, but Jonathan Milan was not among the riders who fell about 70 km from the finish. The Italian champion lost contact with Consonni, while Groenewegen, De Lie, and Pithie managed to rejoin the main group.
A chaotic sprint: in the end, Philipsen took victory ahead of Joshua Giddings and Soren Waerenskjold.
In the general classification Philipsen is the new leader with a 4 second advantage over Kooij and De Bondt.
