Primoz Roglic doesn't hide his excitement at winning the European Time Trial Championship in his home country, Slovenia . This success adds to an already impressive list of achievements: "I haven't won many times at home; I'll definitely remember this moment for the rest of my life," he told RTVSlo . "I simply tried to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible."

Roglič tried to savor the awards ceremony on the podium to the fullest and, amid the applause of his people and the emotion of the Slovenian anthem, he celebrated the moment with his classic ski jumper celebration.

You're there and you want to absorb all these feelings, you try to remember them, but it all goes by so quickly. But the most beautiful thing is when you hear the Slovenian anthem and you can sing it. You don't think about anything; you just enjoy and sing the anthem.

A European champion's jersey that Roglic will, no matter what, enjoy next year: "It's beautiful, maybe I'll just wear it at home. We haven't decided what I'll do next, but whatever happens, I'll wear it," Roglič said. "It would be hard to imagine a better ending to these championships."

Roglič also revealed that his radio wasn't working during the race, explaining to organizers: "I didn't have a radio. It probably stopped working in the first kilometer of the race, so I was completely lost and just trusted my gut feeling. But I definitely gave it my all on the road, and luckily, it was enough. I'm really happy."

In any case, the Slovenian knew the race route well, which worked to his advantage: "Over the last few days, I've gotten to know the circuit well. Možjanac doesn't disappoint. This time, too, it was tough. The second section featured a fast descent, and in the final kilometers to the finish, it was a tough battle against the wind."
