Demi Vollering (FDJ-Suez) wins the women's Strade Bianche (136 km).

The race comes alive 40 km from the finish line with an attack of 7 athletes between Tolfe and Strada del castagno . The leaders reach an advantage of more than a minute.

On Colle Pinzuto the work of the Fdj for Vollering brings the best back under the belt, while Longo Borghini , having a bad day, drops away .

During the final passage on the Tolfe , Vollering and Van der Breggen gained the advantage, chased by a small group of 7 athletes.

The race was decided between the two Dutch riders in the lead on the final climb of Santa Caterina, with Demi Vollering attacking 500 metres from the finish and winning easily . 3rd place for Ferrand-Prevot .
