The Slovenian champion plans the 2024 program
After the recent official presentations of the Giro and Tour, the riders are starting to plan the 2024 season which, in addition to the usual events, will also see the presence of the Olympics with the road race in Paris on Saturday 3 August.
Tadej Pogacar carefully followed the presentation of the Grande Boucle and himself praised the climbs chosen for the next edition.
He also does not hide the difficulties in having to make forced choices : "I would have to give up other races to participate in both the Giro and the Tour and I love racing the Classics, so it will be a difficult decision" explained the UAE Team Emirates rider.
Pogacar has already demonstrated several times that he can be in top form from the beginning to the end of the season, but running two grand tours at most and being able to compete with the best even in all the one-day races would be really complicated even for a phenomenon like him. Obviously we hope that he can be at the starting line of the Corsa Rosa and that he can aim for the Giro-Tour double which he hasn't achieved since '98 since the time of Marco Pantani.
