In third place is Arvid De Kleijn (Tudor) who controls the sprint of the group. Second Italian victory in this edition of the Malaysian race, after that of Matteo Malucelli (JCL Team JKYO).

The overall standings are led by British rider Max Poole (Team DSM), with a 14" advantage over Thomas Pesenti (JCL Team UKYO) and 20" over Unai Iribar (Equipo Kern Pharma).
