40-rider sprint, Kubis finishes second
Henri Uhlig (Alpecin Premier Tech) wins the third stage of the Etoile de Bessegés, 162 km from Bessegés.
The stage, on paper the most challenging and decisive for the general classification, does not create a great selection.
Several men try on the climbs, including Labrosse, Lapeira and Costiou, but no one manages to make the difference.
In the final flat stretch, Team Unibet took charge of pulling a small group of 30 men, to help Kubis in his sprint.
In the final sprint, however, it was Uhlig who prevailed with a powerful sprint down the middle of the road, ahead of Kubis and Hardouin.
Crabbe, the overall leader, breaks away and Kubis takes the lead in the standings.
