Wout Van Aert will be one of the great protagonists of the 2024 Giro d'Italia , but does not lose focus on the other seasonal objectives, the Tour of Flanders and Paris Roubaix .

For this reason the Belgian champion and some teammates from Visma | Lease a Bike , well in advance, went to reconnoiter the cobbled sectors of the Paris Roubaix (which will take place on April 7th), the Tour of Flanders and the Dwars door Vlaanderen .  

“Why so early? We take the opportunity to refresh our memories, with little pressure on us and in a very relaxed atmosphere – sporting director Maarten Wynants told VTM – Furthermore, we were lucky to find a couple of days without rain”.

The reconnaissance was mainly used to test the materials in the most treacherous cobbled sections of Paris-Roubaix , where Van Aert and his team had more than one problem last season.
