Fears for Jonas Vingegaard. The Danish champion was training near the southern Spanish city of Málaga when he crashed on a descent on Monday, January 26th. After initial reports surfaced on social media, Visma Lease a Bike confirmed his condition, reassuring him.

"Vingegaard fell during training on Monday. Fortunately, he is OK and did not suffer any serious injuries."

Visma-Lease a Bike also addresses fans. "In general, as a team, we would like to urge cycling fans to always put safety first. For your safety and the safety of others, we ask you to give cyclists the space to train and to give them as much peace and space as possible."
