Tibor Del Grosso achieved his first cyclocross victory of the season by winning the World Cup in Zolder.

The Dutchman led the race from the sixth lap together with Wout Van Aert : the leading pair quickly opened up a gap in the final three laps and a crash eliminated Nys from the chasing group.

The two battled for victory in a sprint launched by Van Aert just 100 meters from the finish line: Del Grosso, much more explosive, beat the Belgian by half a wheel, with the Visma rider reaching the finish line with his head down.
