With Quick Step, Arkea, Bike Exchange, Dsm, Trek and Uae

Let's analyze the transfer market of the last six World Tour teams for 2023. If you missed the first two parts, you can read them again here: 2023 cycle transfer market: team analysis (1st part) | Fantacycling (fanta-cycling.com) and Ciclomercato 2023: team analysis (2nd part) | Fantacycling (fanta-cycling.com) .

Next week space for the main movements of the Professional teams.

Soudal Quick Step – Patrick Lefevere's team has placed the coup Tim Merlier, pure sprinter who will have to share races and tasks with Fabio Jakobsen. After a season of many downs and few ups at Alpecin, the Belgian is expected to redeem himself right from the Northern races. Beware of Jan Hirt, coming from the Intermarchè, a 'crazy horse' who will have to put aside his ambitions to help Remco Evenepoel in the grand tours. Casper Pedersen from the DSM, winner of the Paris-Tours in 2020, has also arrived for the North, while it will be interesting to see the Slovakian talent Martin Svrcek, 19, a time trial specialist at work. At the exit, Keisse and Steels hung up their bikes, via Stybar at the Bike Exchange, Honorè at EF and Mark Cavendish towards Astana. Nothing that serious.

Score at the market: 6.5

Team Arkea Samsic – Nine arrivals and nine transfers in the French home. It will therefore be the new team of Luca Mozzato, coach 'placing' on the hunt for the first victory of his career on the World Tour. But he will not be alone: David Dekker from the Jumbo arrived for the sprints, the twenty-year-old Ukrainian Andrii Ponomar from the Drone Hopper, Clement Champoussin from Ag2R and Cristian Rodriguez from Total Energies. The names of Jenthe Biermans, a Belgian from Israel, Louis Barré, a 22-year-old neo pro discreet in stage races, the 20-year-old Ewen Costiou (a couple of top 10 at Avenir 2022) and Mathis Le Berre, 21, are not crazy , second to the Paris-Tours of the youth. Having lost Nairo Quintana by choice, Arkea also dropped his brother Dayer, Connor Swift at Ineos, Romain Hardy, who ended up racing in an amateur team, Christophe Noppe at Cofidis and Winner Anacona, who returned to Colombia.

Score at the transfer market: 6

Team BikeExchange Jayco (from 2023 Team Jayco-AlUla) – Many, many changes for the Australian team that barely escaped relegation to Professional. Let's start this time with the farewells, none of which seem significant to us. Kaden Groves at Alpecin, Dion Smith at Intermarchè, Jack Bauer at Q36.5 as well as Damien Howson found another place. Alexander Konychev takes a step back, Corratec destination, while Cameron Meyer, Tanel Kangert and Sam Bewley have left for good.

There are four new pros in the field, including the sprinter Quick Blake, the 22-year-old Under 23 champion in Australia. Both Eddie Dunbar, arrived from Ineos, Filippo Zana from Bardiani, will make the classification in the stage races, while for the breakaways the suspect is Lukas Postlberger from the Bora. Watch out for the 'senators' of the group, Alessandro De Marchi, who left Israel, and Zdenek Stybar, who left Quick Step. Their contribution will be decisive for young people.

Score at the transfer market: 6

DSM Team – The philosophy is known: many young people inside (no less than nine new teachers) all to be discovered. There is our Lorenzo Milesi, winner of a stage at the Avenir, but not only. Among the most interesting we point out Oscar Onley, British who finished third in the Tour of Croatia, and Max Poole, 19 years old, a good prospect uphill and in stage races. Attention also to Matthew Dinham, seventh in the Under 23 World Cup, and Sean Flynn, a sprinter placed several times in the minor categories.

Better known, however, are the experts Patrick Bevin, a snatch-resistant sprinter from Israel, and Harm Vanhoucke who arrived from Lotto to help captain Romain Bardet. Outgoing the most important transfer is, without a doubt, that of Thymen Arensman who ended up at Ineos, but it will be very interesting to see what Soren Kragh Andersen will do at Alpecin. They say goodbye to Casper Pedersen, at Soudal Quick Step, Nico Denz, married at Bora, and Niklas Arndt at Bahrain.

Market rating: 6.5 (for the project)

Trek Segafredo – The Italian-American team is counting on three young riders such as Thibau Nys, cyclo-cross rider already 2020 junior world champion and Under 23 European road champion two years ago in Trento, Natnael Tesfatsion who left the Drone Hopper to try the big jump, and Mathias Vacek, Czech who has already stamped the first victory in the World Tour at just 19 springs. Outgoing Gianluca Brambilla and Matteo Moschetti, at Q36.5, Alexander Kamp, one of the surprises of the last year, and Simon Pellaud at Tudor.

Score at the market: 6.5

UAE Team Emirates – Targeted purchases for Tadej Pogacar's team, which in this way will have an increasingly competitive team at his disposal. Adam Yates (photo), from Ineos, can make the difference but there are also Felix Großschartner from Bora, Domen Novak from Bahrain, Tim Wellens from Lotto and Jay Vine from Alpecin. There will be the debut of Michael Vink, 31, chosen on the basis of his results on the virtual cycling platform "MyWhoosh", and the arrival of Sjoerd Bax from Alpecin, the Dutch rider who won the last Coppa Agostoni. Andres Ardila from Burgos, Rui Costa from Intermarchè, Fernando Gaviria from Movistar and the Swiss Joel Suter from Tudor have left. With Jumbo they will be the team to beat.

Score at the market: 7.5
