Here are the main new features for the 2026 season
The UCI has published the full list of 2026-2028 WorldTour license allocations. Picnic Post NL licenses, for both the men's and women's World Tour, are initially limited to one year, while neither Ceratizit—as expected—nor Roland, much more surprisingly, are included.
In a press release, the UCI confirmed that a total of 14 UCI Women's WorldTour licenses and 18 UCI WorldTour licenses have been awarded for the next three seasons.
There is no indication of what these criteria are or why the limit was reduced to a single season. Furthermore, while Arkéa and Ceratizit , both of which ceased operations in 2025, were expected to be absent, no explanation has been provided as to why Roland is absent from the list of registered teams.
The list of men's WorldTour teams also shows that NSN Cycling Team, formerly known as Israel-Premier Tech, has been admitted following its registered switch from Israel to Switzerland. The merger between Intermarché—formerly known as Intermarché-Wanty—and the historic Belgian team Lotto is recognized, resulting in the new team being called Lotto Intermarché.
