The reconnaissances will be published on a weekly basis
Throughout his racing career, Daniele Bennati has never been one for big mountains, even though exactly twenty years ago, in 2006 , he managed to win a stage of the race from which the Tour of the Alps inherited its legacy, the Giro del Trentino. The former sprinter from Arezzo won on the finish line in Arco, a stage city of the 49th edition of the Euro-regional event (April 20-24) and home to Sport Alto Garda; in the following years, he would then raise his arms to the sky in all three Grand Tours and on the prestigious finish line of the Champs-Élysées in Paris.
Daniele Bennati has gained a wealth of experience in the world of cycling: first as a world-class sprinter, then as a team player, and, after hanging up his helmet, as coach of the Italian national team from 2021 to 2024. This experience allows him to interpret and analyze even the most unpredictable races, such as the Tour of the Alps, for which he has been an ambassador since this edition. Bennati is the protagonist of the series of five video reconnaissances of the Tour of the Alps .
The first episode, online starting this afternoon, Thursday, January 15, will focus on the 141.8-kilometer opening stage, starting and finishing in Innsbruck, Tyrol. The videos will be published weekly on the official Tour of the Alps YouTube channel, with subtitles in Italian, English, and German, and will be reposted on Instagram, Facebook, X, and the tourofthealps.eu website.
