The young Frenchman already has great expectations for 2026

Paul Seixas ' talent has already impressed in the 2025 season and we are all curious to see what the young Frenchman can do next season.

The 2006-born rider immediately made his mark at the Tour of the Alps , with two second-place stages and twelfth place in the general classification, and then had exponential growth in the following months: he finished eighth in the general classification at the Critérium du Dauphiné in June and then won the Tour de l'Avenir as the big favourite.

But it was at the end of the season that Seixas made a further leap in quality by arriving thirteenth at the world championship in Kigali , won by Pogacar , third at the European championship, behind the Slovenian and Evenepoel and then seventh at the Giro di Lombardia .

These results are exciting, but they already place enormous expectations on the Frenchman's shoulders: "Without beating around the bush, all scenarios are possible," Decathlon performance director Jean-Baptiste Quiclet told Vélo Magazine. "He could ride a season without GTs, or he could participate in the Giro, the Tour, or the Vuelta. It will also depend on how the Grand Tours are scheduled throughout the year and the possibility of increasing the number of training experiences in week-long races."
