The route of the Paris-Nice 2023 was presented this morning, a week-long stage race scheduled from 5 to 12 March.

The 81st edition of the competition, which last year saw Primoz Roglic on the top step of the podium, includes eight stages for a total of 1,201 km to go.

Sunday 5 March 2023 – First stage: La Verrière – La Verrière (169.4km)

Monday 6 March - Second stage: Bazainville – Fontainebleau (163.7km)

Tuesday 7 March - Third stage: 32km team time trial in Dampierre en Burly

Wednesday 8 March - Fourth stage: Saint-Amand-Montrond – La Loge des Gardes (164.7km)

Thursday 9 March - Stage five: SaintSymphorien-sur-Coise – Saint Paul-Trois-Châteaux (212.4km)

Friday 10 March - Sixth stage: Tourves – La Colle-sur-Loup (197.4km)

Saturday 11 March - Seventh stage: Nice – Col de la Couillole (142.9km)

Sunday 12 March - Eighth stage: Nice – Nice (118.4 km)

In addition to the return of the team time trial, there are two uphill finishes (on the fourth stage La Loge des Gardes , a 6.7km ascent at 7.1% average gradient and on the seventh stage at the Col de la Couillole , a 15. 1 km at 7.1% average gradient). The sixth and eighth stages were also difficult, with pitfalls along the way up to the classic finish in Nice.

The race will already be important from a Fantacycling perspective because it is at the beginning of the season, it coincides with the Tirreno-Adriatico , and it will help to understand who will already have a good leg for the awaited Milan-Sanremo .
