No attack between the big names, it's controversy
Davide Bais of Eolo Kometa won the seventh stage of the Giro d'Italia starting from Capua and finishing at 2123 meters of Campo Imperatore on the Gran Sasso.
Via the escape with Simone Petilli, Davide Bais, Karel Vacek and Enoch Mulubrhan who then breaks away.
The other three reach a maximum advantage of over 10 minutes, the group lets it go and nobody attacks.
Upon arrival Bais precedes Vacek and Petilli. Disappointment for the big names: the best arrive all together after more than 3' with Evenepoel in front of Roglic. And in the end, many controversies.
Andreas Leknessund keeps the pink jersey.
