New rumors are coming in about the route of the Giro d'Italia 2025. As we anticipated in our YouTube live last week, it is very likely that there will be a time trial from Lucca to Pisa , an event that for the Fantacycling community would be a bit like putting Christmas Day in May, but the news doesn't end there.

According to the newspaper La Nazione , on May 18, on what should be the last stage of the first week, the Gubbio-Siena will take place, with the finale largely following the spectacular and fascinating route of the Strade Bianche . There should therefore be some famous dirt sections such as Colle Pinzuto and the final climb of via Santa Caterina , with the finish line most likely located in the magnificent Piazza del Campo .

Viareggio, with its suggestive dock, could be the starting point for the stage of May 21, with the race heading towards Emilia-Romagna , more precisely to Castelnovo Monti . In an article in Il Resto del Carlino we read that this stage could include the Passo delle Radici and then pass through Toano and Carpineti until arriving in the Reggio Emilia Apennines area.

We will see if the rumors will be confirmed, with the Giro d'Italia 2025 to be officially presented on November 12 in Rome .
