Another time trial in Tuscany, after the 2025 Lucca-Pisa

The 2026 Giro d'Italia is starting to take shape. While we wait for the official presentation on December 1st, new rumors are emerging about the stages of the first and second weeks.

The stage on Sunday 17 May should be the Faenza-Corno alle Scale , a famous climb in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, which was already the finish of the Giro in 2004, when Gilberto Simoni won.   A long climb, 27 kilometers long, but quite rideable, with the steepest gradients coming in the last 5 kilometers.

The next day is expected to be a rest day, while Tuesday, May 19th, marks the start of the Massa-Viareggio stage, which is expected to be the only time trial of the upcoming Giro d'Italia, covering a distance of approximately 40 kilometers . The following day's stage is expected to start from Porcari (province of Lucca), home to the Sofidel group, which includes the Regina brand, sponsor of the Giro d'Italia.
