The time has come to analyze the best underdogs of the 2022 season , i.e. those riders who overturned the predictions of the eve and won with points starting from a rather low evaluation.

Mads Pedersen : the best of the terrestrials, eighth best ranking in 2022 and 1,206 fantasy points conquered only thanks to an amazing Vuelta which brought him to a quotation of 26 (from 22).

Not to forget a good Tour, with a stage success, and placements obtained in some classics. Now comes the difficult part, reaffirm yourself. Will he still be a protagonist in stage races in 2023 or will he aim for a prestigious result in the Northern races?

Sergio Higuita : incredible but true, he did better than Van der Poel. Rather constant, with his four victories of the season, he took home Catalunya (834 points) and an excellent fifth place in Liège. After two years without shining, it closed with a price of 24 fantamillion. 2023 could be the year of change, especially in stage races.

Christophe Laporte : we knew that wearing the Jumbo Visma jersey he would do well, but the Frenchman outdid himself by winning 2,082 points and leaping to 25 fantamillions with stage victories at Paris-Nice and the Tour de France, without forgetting the constant placings in the Northern races. As a team man, in 2023 he could carve out further space to win even a classic.
