2026 brings many new features for Fantacycling: one of these is the category change of several races in the championship.

Going in chronological order, the first change is for the UAE Tour which goes from category 5 to category 4: the Emirati race thus becomes an even more important juncture in the delicate economy of the start of the season.

Itzulia Basque Country and Flèche Wallonne also improved: both have had high-level startlists in recent years and both have moved from category 4 to category 3.

The Tour de Romandie instead drops from cat.3 to cat.4.
The same goes for two of the least interesting races of the WT season: the ADAC Cyclassic and the infamous Tour of Poland . The two summer races are downgraded to Category 5.
