The Tour Down Under cancels Willunga Hill : the famous hill that has always decided the Australian race has been removed from tomorrow's stage for safety reasons.

In the fifth stage, the peloton would have passed through Willunga three times , including at the finish. Due to the weather conditions described as "extreme," the passage over the hill, a "risk" area, was canceled. Weather conditions, with temperatures above 40°C and the risk of fires , forced the organizers to modify the route.

The finish town remains Willunga, and the finale will most likely be at the end of a short climb, as in the first stage of the women's Tour Down Under, and therefore reserved for sprinters .
