Fantacycling is a partner of the race: route and favourites

The 2025 Tour of the Alps will take place from 21 to 25 April: five stages, 739 kilometres in total with an altitude difference of 14,700 metres.

There will be a lot of climbing right from the start with the finish in San Lorenzo Dorsino after 149km and the ascent of Campo Carlo Magno halfway through the race.

Second stage with arrival in Vipiteno, after 178 km, and the double climb to Telves di Sopra (4.2 km at 7.1 percent average gradient).

The third stage arrives in San Candido, after 146 km, with the Furcia Pass and the climb of Monte Versciaco about fifteen kilometers from the finish.

Then the route will cycle towards Austria, first arriving in Obertilliach, after 163 km, and a finale still dedicated to climbers.

The last stage starts and finishes in Lienz, after 113 km, and the short but challenging climb of Stronach (3.1 km at an average gradient of 12.3 percent). The summit is just 10 km from the finish.

There are many riders who will participate in the TOTA to prepare for the Giro d'Italia. Among them Antonio Tiberi and Giulio Ciccone, among the favorites for the final victory.

But also Jay Hindley, Thymen Arensman, Romain Bardet, and Derek Gee.

They are joined by Felix Gall, 2024 winner Juan Pedro Lopez, Eddie Dunbar, Matthew Riccitello, and Michael Storer.

Davide Piganzoli, Georg Steinhauser, Damiano Caruso, and Jefferson Cepeda are to be followed closely. The start list is not yet definitive.

Fantacycling will follow the Tour of the Alps with daily links after the stages, exclusive interviews and on-site correspondents. It starts on Sunday 20 April, live on YouTube, with the finale of the Amstel Gold Race and the presentation of the teams at the start of the TOTA.
