The riders who scored the most points

Mathieu Van der Poel and Jonas Vingegaard . They are the kings of the 2023 season, respectively in the classic Monumento and the three Grand Tours.

The world champion and the Dane from Jumbo Visma obtained the highest number of points: the first in the five historic races of the UCI calendar (Sanremo, Flanders, Roubaix, Liège and Lombardy), collecting two victories and a second place. The latter surpassed a considerable points quota thanks to success in the Tour de France and second place in the Vuelta de España. No Giro d'Italia for him, at least for this year...

Many confirmations in both rankings: but there are two Italians in the top 10 of the Monument scores. Filippo Ganna , excellent second in the Sanremo and sixth in the Roubaix and Andrea Bagioli , for whom second place in Lombardia (plus 5 points in Liege where he however retired) was enough to enter among the best.

Total Monument points 2023:

Mathieu Van der Poel: 1863
Tadej Pogacar: 1693
Wout Van Aert: 1268
Mads Pedersen: 1084
Remco Evenepoel: 817
Filippo Ganna: 789
Jasper Philipsen: 622
Stefan Kung: 580
Thomas Pidcock: 535
Andrea Bagioli: 530

The sum of the three-week rounds sees Jumbo Visma dominate with Vingegaard, Roglic and Kuss: the latter scored points in all three races in which he participated. Evenepoel curiosity: the Belgian retired halfway through the Giro and ended up far from the top positions in the general classification at the Vuelta. Yet he exceeded 2000 points.

Sepp Kuss 2262
Tadej Pogacar 2210
Remco Evenepoel 2060
Joao Almeida 1764
Thibaut Pinot 1570
