Ayuso, Skjelmose, and Pedersen to start the Tour de France

Lidl Trek has announced its leaders' plans for the 2026 season.

Juan Ayuso, a new signing from UAE, will lead the team at the Tour de France after a season-opening that included the Algarve, Paris-Nice, the Basque Country, Flèche Wallonne, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, and the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. He will also be joined by Mattias Skjelmose, fresh from the Ardennes races, and Mads Pedersen, ready to return to the Tour de France.

For the Giro d'Italia, the key man will once again be Jonathan Milan, a two-time winner of the cyclamen jersey and the team's designated sprinter. He will also be joined on the stages by Thibau Nys, who, after his cyclocross season, will seek out spots in the more challenging stages and long breakaways.
