In the sprint there is no contest: the Belgian makes it two out of two
Tim Merlier won the second stage of Paris-Nice, from Montesson to Bellegarde, 183.9km.
Having caught the last escapee of the day in the final kilometres of the race, Jonas Abrahamsen, the sprinters let loose.
At the finish line, Tim Merlier is still the strongest: for the Belgian it is the second success after yesterday's.
Behind him were Emilien Jeannière of Total Energies and Hugo Page of Intermarché. The latter was later demoted for incorrectness. On the podium of the day, therefore, Mads Pedersen.
Tomorrow is the third decisive stage for the general classification: a 28.4 km team time trial.
