Tim Merlier wins the first stage of the Paris-Nice with start and finish in Le Perray-en-Yvelines.

The Belgian won in the sprint with a flawless and uneventful sprint. Second place for Arnaud Démare , while third place went to Alberto Dainese , ahead of Molano and Zingle .

Victory number 55 in his career for Merlier who becomes the new leader of the general classification.
