Remember to line up your formation before the start

The second round of the 2024 World Tour is the Cadel Evans Road Race , which will take place in Australia on the Italian night between Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 January.

The start and finish of the race will be in Geelong, the city that hosted the World Championships in 2010. The route is practically identical to last year when Marius Mayrhofer surprisingly won: 108 initial kilometers followed by the final circuit of 17 kilometers with the only climb of the day, Challambra Crescent, to be repeated four times for a total of 176 kilometres. However, nothing particularly difficult.

A race that favors fast and resistant men on the climbs such as, for example, Biniam Girmay , recent winner of the Surf Coast Classic in Australia. Corbin Strong will also have a team at his disposal, having returned to good form after retiring Down Under.

Ineos has a double chance with Elia Viviani , in the event of a sprint, and Jhonathan Narvaez if the race is a little more complicated.

Caleb Ewan is expected to make amends after a winless Down Under. Also noteworthy for a good placing are the names of Milan Fretin of Cofidis, Daniel McLay of Arkea, Max Kanter of Astana, Laurence Pithie of Groupama and, as second striker Israel, Simon Clarke, twice on the podium in the home race .

Remember to line up your formation 15 minutes before the start!
