Primoz Roglic wins the Giro dell'Emilia , a 204.1 km professional race starting from Carpi and finishing on the San Luca climb.

The race heats up during the penultimate passage on the San Luca with the forcing of Adam Yates who selects the group of the best: only nine riders remain in the lead.

Pogacar tries to break away from everyone with an attack in the last kilometre, but fails to make a difference. Roglic chooses the perfect time to launch the decisive push and wins the Giro dell'Emilia for the third time in his career.

The podium is completed by Pogacar and S.Yates. Eighth Ciccone, best of the Italians.
