Team Visma's plans will be revealed on January 13th

Jonas Vingegaard could take part in the next Giro d'Italia. The Danish climber, in fact, seems intent on winning the triple crown before his great rival Pogacar, after his successes at the Tour de France and his recent triumph at last year's Vuelta.

Rumors have been circulating throughout the winter about the possibility of seeing the 1996-born rider at the start in Bulgaria scheduled for May 1st, but Team Visma has not yet resolved its reservations and January 13th will be the day of truth, when the team will present the calendars of all its main riders.

The absence of Pogacar and Evenepoel seems certain, so this could be the perfect opportunity for Vingegaard to fight for the pink jersey at the height of his career and then attempt to attack the Tour in July, as Pogacar himself did in the 2024 season.
