Brenner surprises, triumphs at Pologne

Stefan Kung won the seventh and final stage of the Tour de Pologne, a 12.5km individual time trial starting and finishing in Wieliczka. The Swiss rider from Tudor, after an unlucky season due to an early-season crash, returned to success in his favorite event.

At the end of the course, Kung stopped the clock at 14'25" ahead of Finn Fisher Black and Callum Thornley, who were 4 seconds behind.

The overall standings have changed, thanks to poor performances by the leaders until this morning—Scaroni, Barré, and Lemmen. The race winner, a surprise, is Marco Brenner, a 23-year-old German, who finished seventh in the time trial and had a strong week of racing in the Tudor jersey. The final podium is completed by Fisher Black of Red Bull Bora hansgrohe and Ivan Romeo of Movistar.
