Pogacar crashes in the final, but his rivals are waiting for him

Jonas Abrahamsen (Uno-X Mobility) wins the eleventh stage of the Tour de France starting and finishing in Toulouse (156.4 km).

In the early stages of the race, Schmid, Abrahamsen, and Ballerini broke away, followed by Wright and Burgadeau. However, the peloton remained tense, with attacks and counterattacks. With 70 km to go, Healy and Vingegaard even made a move, and their action favored a second group consisting of Van der Poel, Van Aert, Simmons, De Lie, and Laurance, who set off in pursuit of the first five attackers.

The second group struggles to catch up with the first, while Milan breaks away on the continuous ups and downs. On the penultimate Côte remains ahead of Schmid and Abrahamsen , while from behind Simmons tries to come back alone.

On the very tough Côte de Pech David the leading pair increased their lead, Van der Poel reacted with an impressive, but late, attack.

Abrahamsen wins the two-man sprint over Schmid, third place for Van der Poel who just misses a comeback.

In the yellow jersey group, the big names remained together, but 5 km from the start, Pogacar crashed after colliding with Johannessen: no one wanted to take advantage of the incident, and all the favorites sportingly decided to wait for the Slovenian.
