Pogacar attacks again today, but does not gain on Vingegaard and Evenepoel

Richard Carapaz (EF-Education) wins the seventeenth stage of the Tour de France from Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux to Superdévoluy (177.8km).

The breakaway of the day manages to form towards the middle of the race, with Benoot , Jungels , Cort and Gregoire taking the advantage; on Col Bayard, in pursuit of the quartet, a group of 43 riders is released, while the yellow jersey group gives space to the attackers, crossing the hill more than 7' behind the head of the race.

On the Col du Noyer several riders manage to catch up with the four in the lead. Simon Yates attacks and remains alone in the lead, in the company of Carapaz who joins him a few kilometers later. The same Ecuadorian extends his lead in the hardest stretch and manages to get over the top with 12" on the Briton and 32" on Mas.

Carapaz flies towards the solitary victory , just ahead of S.Yates and Mas.

In the group Pogacar attacks and makes a gap again: on the descent, however, they manage to catch up with Evenepoel and Vingegaard . The Belgian attacks on the final climb and manages to gain 13" on Vingegaard with a view to second place.
