Third success for the Bora sprinter

Sam Welsford, who turns 28 today,   continues to win at the Tour Down Under: the Australian sprinter from Bora hansgrohe, after having already won two stages, has in fact won the fourth stage of the race that opens the World Tour season.

At the end of the 136.2 km Murray Bridge-Port Elliot, Welsford preceded Biniam Girmay of Intermarché - Wanty and Lars Boven of Alpecin Deceuninck in the sprint.

Isaac Del Toro (UAE Emirates) retains the lead in the general classification awaiting tomorrow's penultimate stage with the arrival on the Willunga Hill climb.

Of note is the withdrawal of Lucas Plapp (Jayco AlUla), one of the favorites for the final success who crashed yesterday during the third stage.
