The cycling world mourns Kevin Bonaldo . The 25-year-old rider, struck down a month ago at the end of the 2025 Piccola Sanremo , died at the San Bartolo Hospital in Vicenza, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit. The young rider was initially in a medically induced coma and over the course of a month had shown signs that gave hope of recovery.  

The Padovani Polo Cherry Bank team announced that "in the last few hours his condition had worsened and this morning, surrounded by his family, he passed away, leaving an immeasurable void in all those who had the fortune and honor of knowing him."
