Filippo Ganna wins the Valladolid time trial in the tenth stage of the Vuelta , completing the 25.8 km of the route in 27'39” at the extraordinary average of 56 km/h (fastest time trial in the history of cycling over 25 km!).
Ganna starts a couple of hours before the other favorites and leaps clearly to the top of the standings.
In the first intermediate time Pippo is the fastest with 10” on Roglic and 11” on Evenepoel.
At the second time the Italian champion increases his advantage with 18" on Evenepoel and 27" on Roglic and can start celebrating.
Evenepoel and Roglic complete the podium of the day behind Ganna , respectively 16 and 25 seconds apart.
Above expectations Almeida (4th at 49”) and Vlasov (5th at 51”).
On the other hand, Vingegaard disappoints with 1'17", Mas 1'46" and Martinez 2'29", while Kuss manages to defend himself (at 1'29") and keeps the red jersey.
