Czech Tour, Fancellu wins the last stage
General classification to Andrew August

General classification to Andrew August

Alessandro Fancellu won the fourth and final stage of the Czech Tour today, Sunday, August 16, by winning the uphill finish in Pustevny. This is the MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort rider's first professional victory.
Fancellu edged out Andrew August, already the overall leader, and Nicolas Breuillard in the uphill sprint. This was a particularly significant victory for the 26-year-old Italian, who had finished second in the previous two stages, always behind the American rider from Netcompany INEOS.
However, the stage victory wasn't enough for Fancellu to overturn the overall standings. Andrew August won the 2026 Czech Tour, retaining the yellow jersey after all four stages. The American finished with a 7-second advantage over Fancellu, while Domenico Pozzovivo finished third overall, 40 seconds behind.
