Pablo Torres comes close to incredible comeback in final stage

Spectacular finale to the 2024 Tour de l'Avenir: the last stage, finishing on the Colle delle Finestre, provided great excitement, thanks to the duel between Pablo Torres and Joseph Blackmore .

The Spaniard, 3'55" behind in the general classification, attacked his rival with 12 km to go, managing to detach him. The British rider from Israel Premier Tech did not give up, but managed to hold on, although he continued to lose seconds until the finish line.

Torres won the stage, but his 3'43" lead over Blackmore, second at the finish, was not enough for him to overtake, with the British rider managing to win the French race, dedicated to under-23s, by just 12".

The best Italian was Samuel Kajamini , winner of the fifth stage, who finished with an excellent 5th place overall.
