Norwegian outlines goals and hopes for 2026
Team Drali-Repsol was officially presented at the FSA headquarters in Busnago, with the new sponsorship and the supply of technical materials and bicycles from the Italian brand.
At the end of the event, Alexander Kristoff , who retired from racing last year and is now co-owner of the Norwegian-licensed team, answered some questions and curiosities.
What is your goal for next year?
"If we manage to win a race, we'll be really happy, but 2026 will be a transition year , with a team made up of young guys. What I hope is that everyone can take a step forward, especially those riders who have been with us longer."
Have you already given any advice for sprints?
"We recently had a meeting with all the team members and I've already started making some general suggestions.
But every sprint is unique , and we'll analyze the final corners and obstacles like roundabouts; what's really important overall is knowing how to stay in the right position."
Can you give us any tips on a rider to keep an eye on in 2026?
"I've just joined the team and I don't know them all in detail. One of the ones I train with most often is Halvor ( Sandstad, ed.) and he's an interesting young man."
Will Drali-Repsol race in Italy this season?
"I honestly hope so. Also because now we have an Italian sponsor. I spoke to my staff and they have already mentioned the possibility of participating in some races in Italy and getting results here. In the future the dream would be to race the Giro d'Italia ."
