Wout Van Aert won the 65th edition of the E3 Saxo Classic, starting and finishing in Harelbeke after 204km.
On the walls of Belgium, in the race which is an appetizer of the Tour of Flanders scheduled for 2 April, there was a clash between the three super favorites of the day: the attack by Mathieu Van der Poel and Van Aert at 57 km was decisive from the finish line.
Tadej Pogacar took over them, appearing to be the brightest in the decisive stages. Left alone, after dropping Matej Mohoric, Soren Kragh Andersen and Nathan Van Hooydonck last, the three battled for victory in the sprint. The Belgian of the Jumbo was the fastest ahead of Van der Poel and Pogacar.
