From Roglic to Landa, here are the main movements for 2024

The transfer cycle is still open but we can already state which were the ten most interesting movements for 2024. Let's start with foreigners (in another news we will write about the 10 changes that affected Italian riders).

Primoz Roglic from Jumbo Visma to Bora hansgrohe – The move that certainly caused the most sensation. It will be interesting to see if, in a different environment, the Slovenian remains competitive in stage races and, in particular, in the Tour de France on which he will focus his next season.

Mikel Landa from Bahrain Victorious to Soudal Quick Step – Having averted the merger with Jumbo, Evenepoel's team is ready to welcome the Spaniard, who will have to help the former world champion in the most important races. We'll see if he can carve out space in a week's races in which he can make his class stand out.

Fabio Jakobsen from Soudal Quick Step to Team Dsm – After a lackluster season, the Dutch sprinter needed a change of scenery. Even if in the new team the 45 successes achieved so far will count relatively: it will be a real gamble.

Tao Geoghegan Hart from Ineos Grenadiers to Lidl Trek – The Briton is coming off a serious injury but Luca Guercilena's team believed in him and is banking heavily on his qualities in the grand tours. The objective will be the Tour de France, we will need to understand if he will return to high levels.

Matteo Jorgenson from Movistar to Jumbo Visma – The 24 year old American is one of the most interesting talents in the group, particularly on the climbs where he showed some good qualities. At Jumbo they know how to win and we are sure that he will be one of the protagonists of the year. We just need to understand in what role.

Pavel Sivakov from Ineos Grenadiers to UAE Emirates – Speaking of talent, the Russian-turned-Frenchman can be an important piece in the team led by Tadej Pogacar. He lacks consistency but when the day is good he can achieve any result. His first task will be to remain alongside the captains before the street can give other answers.

Daniel Felipe Martinez from Ineos Grenadiers to Bora hansgrohe – After a very bad season, he can only improve. Usually a change of team is good, who knows if he might not be one of the surprise protagonists of 2024. The hope also goes to Roglic, at least to have him by his side in the moments that will count.

Caleb Ewan from Lotto to Jayco AlUla – Jakobsen's point applies. In this case the Australian, who has not left his mark in 2023, will also have competition from Dylan Groenewegen and some right pressure from the team that had faith in him. If he is capable of suffering, then he will be able to have his say, otherwise he risks being number 2. Here too.

Rui Costa from Intermarché to Ef Education-EasyPost – Would you have ever imagined that the Portuguese, at 37 years old, was still competitive? In 2023 he took some satisfaction, now the new adventure of a very long career with the aim of surprising. Once again.

Magnus Cort from Ef Education-Easy Post to Uno He will be one of the riders to keep an eye on for partial successes and some surprise placings.
