The Slovenian leaves open the possibility of participation in 2024
There is hope, but the chances of seeing Tadej Pogacar at the next Giro d'Italia are not that concrete. The revelation comes directly from the Slovenian runner, who spoke to Sky during the annual party organized by the agency of his agents Alex and Johnny Carera: “ I love Italy, I like everything. I'll be coming to the Giro soon. I still can't promise anything for next year, but I can promise that I will come to Italy more often than I did this year."
A promise for the future and a possibility still open, however, for 2024. Pogacar is focusing on next season's commitments, but also on its opponents, with the Jumbo in the foreground, but not only: "He will do even better at Bora-hansgrohe and this opens up to greater competition given that it has left the Jumbo – the Slovenian declared to GCN – Now therefore there is also the Bora in addition to the Jumbo, so there is greater competition. We lost some valuable men, but in return some very strong ones arrived, so I think we have an excellent team. We met in October and it went great. I think we are a very strong team. It doesn't matter if one of Adam Yates , Juan Ayuso or Joao Almeida will be co-captain. It doesn't worry me, with two leaders there may be some tactical differences, but with one leader all the pressure is on one man. They are different things, but both can work very well."
