Van der Poel wins the cyclo-cross world championship

Mathieu Van der Poel beats Wout Van Aert to win the cyclo-cross world championship in Hoogerheide , the Netherlands . A head-to-head announced and which was promptly realized from the first lap, with the two champions who took off from the other competitors.

Third place for the Belgian Eli Iserbyt who precedes the other Dutch Van der Haar ; fifth is instead Michael Vanthourenhout .  

A duel of nerves between Van der Poel and Van Aert , who challenged each other for all ten laps of the course, remaining close until the final sprint. The Dutchman manages to take the last corner better and surprises his rival by starting the sprint first and holding the first position powerfully.  

An exciting race that closes another chapter in the challenge between the two champions; a duel that will also inflame the season of the great classics at Fantacycling 2023 .
