Remember to line up your team for the race

The Brugge-De Panne , a category 5 World Tour race dedicated to sprinters, will take place on Wednesday 20 March. There will be many sprinters who will present themselves at the start of the 198 km long race.

There is little to say about the route: there are no climbs but pay attention to the weather which could be decisive.

The main favorite is Jasper Philipsen , winner of Saturday's Sanremo, and expected to repeat the race in which he has achieved a first, second and third place in the last three years. The toughest opponent is Tim Merlier , first in 2022 and third in 2020.

There is no shortage of other sprinters for a good placing: according to the bookmakers, in order of odds, there are Fabio Jakobsen, Gerben Thijssen, Arvid De Kleijn, Sam Welsford and Dylan Groenewegen without forgetting Fernando Gaviria, Arnaud Demare, Phil Bauhaus, Juan Sebastian Molano and Jordi Meeus. We also include the name of Laurence Pithie, a revelation at the beginning of the season.

Among the Italians with a chance of finishing in the top 10 we mention Luca Mozzato , first in the recent Bredene Classic ahead of Groenewegen and Thijssen, Simone Consonni, Davide Cimolai and Matteo Moschetti.
